Article 8. Use of Funds of the Republican Fund and Regional Funds

The funds of the Republican Fund shall be used only to compensate for losses to individuals and legal entities in connection with the adoption by the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the Kengash of People's Deputies of the relevant region or the city of Tashkent (hereinafter — the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the local Kengash) of decisions on the withdrawal of land plots for public needs with compensation at the initiative of, respectively, the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of regions or the city of Tashkent in pursuance of the resolutions of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan adopted in the manner prescribed by Article 14 of this Law, or at the initiative of the republican government bodies.

The funds of regional funds shall be used to compensate for losses to individuals and legal entities in connection with the adoption by the Jokargy Kenes of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, the local Kengash of decisions on the withdrawal of land for public needs with compensation at the initiative of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, khokimiyats of regions and the city of Tashkent, as well as districts (cities).
