Article 2. Legislation on the dehkan farm
The legislation on the dehkan farm consists of this Law and other legislative acts.
Article 3. Dehkan farm
A dehkan farm is an enterprise that carries out the cultivation and sale of agricultural products based on the personal labor of the members of the dehkan farm on a land parcel granted to the head of the dehkan farm under the right of lifelong heritable possession or lease (sublease).
The dehkan farm carries out its activities based on specialization in horticulture and viticulture or the cultivation of vegetables and melon crops, or other agricultural crops.
Activity in a dehkan farm belongs to entrepreneurial activity and can be carried out at the discretion of the members of the dehkan farm, either with or without the formation of a legal entity.
Article 4. Head of the dehkan farm
The head of the dehkan farm may be a fully capable citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan or a stateless person permanently residing in the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan who has reached the age of eighteen, and to whom a land parcel has been granted for maintaining a dehkan farm under the right of lifelong heritable possession or lease (sublease).
The head of the dehkan farm acts on behalf of the dehkan farm without a power of attorney, including representing its interests in relations with legal entities and individuals, and entering into agreements on behalf of the dehkan farm.
In the event of temporary incapacity or prolonged absence (call-up for military service, enrollment in higher educational institutions for full-time education, election to elective posts, and others) of the head of the dehkan farm, he has the right to authorize one of the members of that enterprise to perform his duties.
In the event of the death of the head of the dehkan farm, a new head of the dehkan farm is determined by mutual agreement among the members of the dehkan farm. Provided that the right to lifelong heritable possession of the land parcel passes by inheritance to the new head of the dehkan farm, and regarding land parcels granted for the maintenance of the dehkan farm under lease (sublease), corresponding changes are introduced into the lease (sublease) agreement.
Upon the head of the dehkan farm reaching retirement age or complete loss of working capacity, as well as in the event of call-up for military service, enrollment in higher educational institutions for full-time education, or election to elective posts, a new head of the dehkan farm may be determined upon the proposal of the head of the dehkan farm and mutual agreement among the members of the dehkan farm, to whom the right to lifelong heritable possession of the land parcel also passes, and regarding land parcels granted for the maintenance of the dehkan farm under lease (sublease), corresponding changes concerning the new head of the dehkan farm are introduced into the lease (sublease) agreement.

For the registration of the dehkan farm, the head of the dehkan farm presents information on the composition of the members of the dehkan farm (indicating the degree of relationship) and a document confirming the granting of the land parcel for maintaining the dehkan farm, and upon the creation of a dehkan farm with the formation of a legal entity—a document confirming the granting of the land parcel for maintaining the dehkan farm, and founding documents.
