Article 87. Removal of the child in the presence of a direct threat to the child's life or health

Where there is a direct threat to the child's life or health, the guardianship and trusteeship body may immediately remove a child from the parents (or one of them) or from other persons in whose custody the child is. The immediate removal of a child shall be carried out on the basis of an appropriate act of a citizens' self-governance body.

While removing the child, the guardianship and trusteeship body shall be obliged to immediately notify the prosecutor, provide temporary accommodation for the child and apply - within seven days after the citizens' self-government body has issued an act on removal of the child - to a court with a claim for depriving the parents of parental rights or for restricting their parental rights.
