Civil status registry books shall be kept in the departmental archives of the civil registry offices for seventy-five years. Upon expiry of this period, the civil status registry books shall be handed over to the State archives in accordance with the established procedure.
The organization of the activity of departmental archives of civil registry offices, as well as the procedure for keeping civil status registry books therein shall be determined by legislation.
