Article 203. Bodies registering acts of civil status

Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan · Date: 30.04.1998 · In force

Registration of civil status acts shall be carried out in districts and cities by civil registry offices, while registration of death in settlements, villages, and auls may also be carried out by chairmen of citizens' assemblies.

The actions of citizens' self-government bodies with regard to death registration shall be regulated by the respective civil registry offices on whose territory they are located.

Registration of acts of civil status of citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, permanently or temporarily residing abroad shall be made by the consul in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
