Persons entering into marriage shall undergo a medical examination in the public healthcare system institutions on a free-of-charge basis. The scope and procedure of medical examination shall be established by the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Medical examination of persons entering into marriage at the age of over fifty, as well as in the presence of special circumstances referred to in part 5 of Article 13 of the present Code shall be carried out with their consent.
