The application for adoption shall be submitted by citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan wishing to adopt the child to the interdistrict, district (city) civil court at the place of residence (location) of the child being adopted.
Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan, foreign citizens or stateless persons permanently residing outside the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan wishing to adopt a child who is a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan shall submit an application for adoption to the court of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional or Tashkent city courts.
