Article 59. Environmental Safety

Measures in the field of sanitary-epidemiological welfare, veterinary affairs, phytosanitary affairs, quarantine, the protection of nature, ensuring the general safety of products and the safety of food products, aimed at the protection of the health of citizens within the territory of the Center and in its production zones, at the protection of the environment and the animal and plant world, as well as at ensuring safe cross-border trade, shall be carried out in accordance with the legislation of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The authorised state bodies and organisations of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the fields of sanitary-epidemiological welfare, plant quarantine and ecology, as well as the safety of food products, phytosanitary affairs and veterinary affairs, shall exercise their powers and tasks within the territory of the Center only in coordination with the Administration of the Center.
