Article​​​​​​​ 156. State support for water management

State support for water management may include:

financing state organizations of the water management system;

attracting financial resources, including loans and investments under state guarantee, for the construction of new water management structures and systems and the reconstruction of existing ones;

financing measures for the use of water objects, water management structures, and systems of transboundary, republican, inter-regional, inter-district, and inter-farm significance at the expense of the budget funds of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

granting preferential and long-term loans and other preferences to water users in the manner prescribed by the legislation;

carrying out other measures to support the water management system in accordance with the legislation.

The investment policy in the field of water use and conservation is based on state support for water management development at the expense of centralized loans on a repayment basis, stimulating the investment of personal funds of water management bodies for the development of the sector, and controlling the expenditure of funds directed to investments.
