Article 121. Powers of the Family and women's committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its territorial divisions

The Family and women's committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan, within its powers, shall:

participate in ensuring the implementation of a unified state policy aimed at achieving equal rights and opportunities for women and men in all spheres of public life;

take measures to ensure the guarantees of equal rights and opportunities for women and men established by the legislation;

participate in the development and implementation of state programs, national action plans, and strategies in the field of ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men;

ensure the regular collection and analysis of statistical data and information on providing the guarantees of equal rights and opportunities for women and men established by the legislation;

submit mandatory-for-review submissions to the republican executive power bodies, organizations, and their officials on violations of the legislation on the guarantees of equal rights and opportunities for women and men, as well as on taking measures to eliminate the causes and conditions leading to them;

file applications (complaints) and claims with the courts in the interests of women's rights and legitimate interests;

develop proposals for ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men established by the legislation;

involve, if necessary, the heads and specialists of state bodies, scientific institutions, and other organizations in issues of ensuring equal rights and opportunities for women and men, and establish working groups.

The Family and women's Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and its territorial divisions may also exercise other powers in accordance with the legislation.
