Article 218. Registration of dissolution of marriage by mutual consent of spouses

At dissolution of marriage by mutual consent of spouses, applicants shall be obliged to confirm in their application to the civil registry body the absence of common minor children and property disputes.

Registration of divorce is carried out after three months from the date of filing an application to the civil registration authority, regardless of the place of registration at the place of permanent residence or temporary stay of the applicants.

No later than within three days upon submission of the application, the civil registry bodies shall notify in writing the Conciliation Commission of the citizens' meeting at the place of joint residence of the spouses for the latter to take appropriate measures for their reconciliation, and if they do not live together - the Conciliation Commission of the citizens' meeting at the place of residence of each of them.
