Article 2. Equal rights of women and men in family relations

Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan · Date: 30.04.1998 · In force

Family relations shall be regulated based on the principle of voluntary marital union of a man and a woman; equality of the spouses' personal and property rights; resolution of family issues by mutual consent; priority of raising children in the family environment; taking care of their wellbeing and development; and ensuring protection of the rights and interests of minors and incapacitated family members.
