Article 157. Consent of the adoptive parent's spouse to the adoption of a child

Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan · Date: 30.04.1998 · In force

When one spouse adopts a child, the consent of the other spouse to the adoption shall be required, unless the child is adopted by both spouses.

Spousal consent to adopt a child shall not be required if the spouses have terminated the marital relationship, have not lived together for more than a year, and the other spouse's place of residence is unknown.
