Article 154. Persons with priority right to adoption

Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan · Date: 30.04.1998 · In force

The priority right to adoption shall be given to the following persons:

Relatives of the person to be adopted, regardless of their place of residence;

Person in whose family the person to be adopted lives;

Persons adopting brothers and sisters without severing the family ties between them;

Stepfather and stepmother;

Citizens of the Republic of Uzbekistan;

Persons who have lost children as a result of illness or accident.
