Article 153. Secrecy of adoption

Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan · Date: 30.04.1998 · In force

The secrecy of adoption shall be protected by law.

Familiarization with the content of civil status registration books or other documents, or issuance of extracts or other information from them, from which it would appear that the adoptive parents are not the parents of the adopted child shall be forbidden without the consent of the adoptive parents or, in the event of their death, without the consent of the guardianship and trusteeship body.

Persons disclosed the secret of an adoption against the will of the adoptive parent or a guardianship and trusteeship body shall bear the liability established by law.
