Article 147. Termination of alimony obligations

Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan · Date: 30.04.1998 · In force

Alimony obligations established by an agreement on payment of alimony shall terminate by death of one of the parties, expiration of the term of that agreement or on the grounds stipulated by that agreement.

Payment of judicially imposed alimony shall cease upon as follows:

Upon the child's attainment of majority or if minor children acquire full legal capacity before they attain majority;

Upon the adoption of the child for whose maintenance alimony have been recovered;

In case if court recognizes the restoration of capability or termination of alimony recipient's need for support;

In the entry into a new marriage of an incapable former spouse in need of assistance - the recipient of alimony;

Death of the person receiving alimony or the person obliged to pay alimony.
