Article 310. Filing the application

The case on recognition of a citizen as having limited legal capacity due to abuse of alcohol, narcotic drugs, and psychotropic substances or recognition of a citizen legally incapable due to mental disorder (mental illness or dementia) may be instituted at the request of his/her family members, the guardianship and trusteeship bodies, the prosecutor, the healthcare institutions, and other State bodies, the citizens' self-government bodies, and public associations.

The application on recognition of a citizen as having limited legal capacity or legally incapable shall be filed with the court in the place of residence of the given citizen, or in the place of location of the healthcare institution, if the person is placed in this institution.
