Article 90. Proprietary legal relations between parents and children in the family

Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan · Date: 30.04.1998 · In force

While the parents are alive, children shall not have the right to be owners of their property.

Parents also shall not have the right to be owners of the property of minors.

The parents' and children's ownership of common property shall be determined by the Civil Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

Minors shall be entitled to maintenance from their parents and from other persons in the amount and according to the procedure stipulated by law. Means, pensions, and benefits received for the maintenance of minor children shall be at the disposal of the father or mother and shall be spent on the child's maintenance, upbringing, and education.

When exercising the power to dispose of the property of minors, the rules established by civil legislation shall apply.
