Article 73. Parents' rights and duties in upbringing and educating their children

Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan · Date: 30.04.1998 · In force

Parents shall have the right and shall be obliged to bring up their children.

Parents shall bear liability for the upbringing and development of their children. They shall be obliged to take care of the health, physical, mental, spiritual, and moral development of their children.

Parents shall have a preferential right over all other persons to bring up their children.

Parents shall be obliged to ensure receiving by their children the necessary level of education, established by legislation.
