Article 197. Rights of children placed in foster family for upbringing

Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan · Date: 30.04.1998 · In force

Children placed in foster families for upbringing shall retain the right for:

alimony due to them, as well as pension, allowances, and other social payments;

ownership of living premise or the right to use living premise;

receiving living premise in accordance with legislation.

Children placed into foster families for upbringing shall also have the rights to protect their rights and legitimate interests and to communicate with their parents and relatives.

The child shall be entitled to express his/her opinion in any family matter that affects his/her interests.
