Article 150. Placement of children left without parental care

Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan · Date: 30.04.1998 · In force

Children left without parental care shall be placed with a family for upbringing (for adoption, foster care, guardianship, trusteeship, or foster family), or, in the absence of such a possibility - in an institution for orphans or children left without parental care (educational institutions, medical institutions, social welfare institutions, and other similar institutions).

Prior to placing children left without parental care with a family for upbringing or in the institutions referred to in part 1 of this Article, the performance of the duties of a guardian (custodian) of children shall be temporarily entrusted to guardianship and trusteeship bodies.
