Article 105. Reduction of the alimony amount or exemption from alimony payments
Family code of the Republic of Uzbekistan · Date: 30.04.1998 · In force
The court may reduce the amount of alimony, if the parents paying alimony have other minor children, who would be less financially secure than the children receiving the alimony if alimony were to be paid in the amount determined by law, as well as in cases when the parent from whom the alimony is paid is a person with a disability and is in a difficult financial situation, or if the alimony recipient has an independent income.
The court may decide to reduce the amount of alimony or to exempt from payment of the alimony if the minor child is fully supported by state or non-state institutions, taking into account the financial position of the alimony-paying parents.
In the failure of circumstances which served as a basis for reducing the amount of alimony or exemption from payment of alimony, the interested party may apply to court with a claim for recovery of alimony in the amount determined by law.
