Article 249. Adoption of decision

Based on the results of the consideration of the case on the merits, the court shall make a decision.

The court shall make its decision in the name of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

The court's decision must be lawful, reasonable, and fair. It should only be based on evidence examined at trial.

The court decision shall be made immediately upon completion of the court trial.

In exceptional events on particularly complex cases, the preparation of a reasoned decision may be postponed for a period not exceeding five days, but the court shall announce the operative part of the decision in the same session, in which the case trial ended. Simultaneously, the court shall announce the time when persons participating in the case may familiarize themselves with the reasoned decision. The announced operative part of the decision shall be signed by the judge and attached to the case.
