Article 238. Playback of audio or video recordings and their examination

During the playback of private audio or video recordings or examining them, the rules of this Article shall apply.

The audio or video recording shall be played in the courtroom or in another room specially equipped for this purpose, with indicating in the record of the court session the characteristics of the sources reproducing the evidence and the time of the playback. The court shall then hear the statements of persons participating in the case and of their representatives.

Where necessary, the audio or video recording may be reproduced again in whole or in any part thereof.

In order to clarify the information contained in the audio- or video recording, the court may engage a specialist and commission an expert examination.
